If you haven’t already heard about the female teen sailor Laura Dekker, then turn on your t.v set. The Dutch solo sailor was born in 1995 and having been born on a boat, then living on one for her first four years of life, she can’t seem to get away from them. Laura Dekker left yesterday Wednesday 4th July to sail around the world, in an effort to be the youngest person to do it on record, having been refused for years it’s only last month that she was granted permission by the Dutch courts.
